Republic of Congo President, Denis Sassou-Nguesso will be sworn in on Friday for a fourth term.
Among various dignitaries expected to grace tomorrow’s event will be: Senegal’s President Macky Sall, Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast, Mohamed Bazoum of Niger, Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, Nana Akuffo-Addo of Ghana, among other heads of state.
The Chairperson of the African Union Moussa Faki Mahamat is also expected to be in attendance.

Nguesso, 77, was re-elected in March with 88.57% of the vote and has been in office for a record 36 years (1979-1992 & then 1997 to present)
A court in the Republic of Congo on April 6th certified the re-election Nguesso as president.
He will serve as the country’s head until 2026.
