The new variant is in response to demand from shoppers in the region
Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) and Dubai Duty Free have teamed up to release a new KitKat flavour in response to demand from local shoppers.
The new KitKat Arabic Coffee flavour is exclusively available at Dubai International Airport with Dubai Duty Free from April to June. The launch coincides with both Ramadan and Eid.
Specially-created point of sale materials and displays have been created to showcase the launch and this in-store presentation is supported by online social media engagement by Dubai Duty Free.
General Manager of Nestlé International Travel Retail, Stewart Dryburgh said: “We understand the cultural value of coffee time in the Middle East region, and this KitKat special edition has been created to tie in with this. We are delighted to collaborate exclusively with our long-time partner Dubai Duty Free to offer this great-tasting product and help to deliver on the important Sense of Place from our category driving VERSE model.”
The KitKat Arabic Coffee features the traditional wafer, wrapped in milk chocolate with roasted Arabica coffee beans and an aroma of cardamom.
The launch was inspired by demand for a flavour like ‘Gahwa’, which is the social name for Arabic coffee in the region.
