EGYPT – Majid Al Futtaim, the shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, has launched its free “Click and Collect” service across its four shopping malls in Egypt.
The newly launched “click and collect” service is aimed to reinvent shopping experiences in the country by offering customers more convenience and choice, further addressing the rise in demand for online services.
The service enables customers to shop online and collect their purchases from select stores at any of Majid Al Futtaim’s shopping malls in Egypt, namely; Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Alexandria and City Centre Maadi.
For customers looking to order from their favourite food and beverage outlets without dining in, they can place their order through the Via Drive-Thru application and pick it up from designated locations in a quick and hassle-free process.

Visitors can also use the service to order online and have their items delivered to their location within the mall, whether at the cinema or a restaurant.

Rasha further highlighted that the move enables them to improve its customers’ journeys, while safeguarding their health in the wake of COVID-19 by allowing them to shop and order from their place of choice.
The Dubai-based conglomerate and the regional franchise holder of Carrefour has also introduced the click and collect service in Kenya and Uganda, alongside the on-demand delivery services.
The new application dubbed MAF Carrefour App enables customers to shop for their essentials virtually and have them delivered to their preferred location.
Offering flexibility and value, the online shopping app allows customers to choose a 1-hour delivery slot either on the same day or the next day between 9am – 8pm.
The store also has the “Valet trolley” which will give customers the chance to shop and have their goods ready for collection at the store.
