Dubai’s “Expo 2020” is underway after being postponed for a year. Luxembourg’s economic delegation arrived on Sunday and is scheduled to stay until Tuesday evening.
Luxembourg’s economic mission will focus on the space sector.
The 72nd International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is also currently taking place in Dubai. This fair traditionally brings together all the important actors from the space sector. The theme of this year’s edition is “Inspire, Innovate & Discover for the Benefit of Humankind”.
Nine projects will be showcased at Luxembourg’s pavilion in Dubai. The Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, will participate in an astronautical forum on Monday, where discussions will revolve around space laws for new actors in the market.
The new Luxembourgish space fund will also be presented at the IAC. Minister Fayot will meet representatives of the UAE space agency, where several memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed.
The LSAP politician is joined by representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourgish Space Agency. The delegation will also visit other pavilions at Expo 2020, including the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Canada.
