January is Proudly SA month at Dubai Expo 2020

Proudly SA and the buy local movement is the focus on the Team SA pavilion this month at the Dubai Expo 2020.

A display of Proudly SA members demonstrates the excellence of a diverse range of locally manufactured products including Drip Footwear, Lesela Clothing, Fred Footwear, Palm Footwear, Masodi Organics, Sister Jenny’s Jen’Til Touch healing creams, Modesty Clothing, Soy Lite Candles, Khoi San Tea and Indigo Trading’s essential oil products, amongst others.

Proudly SA has also created a series of digital posters which can be seen decorating the  pavilion which highlight the clothing and textile sector, women owned businesses, the furniture industry, the country’s vibrant creative arts, entrepreneurship, the wine industry, the automotive sector and indigenous knowledge.

A number of these sectors will be supported by webinar dialogues hosted on Team SA’s Dubai Expo 2020 Event Tenex platform in which members and other stakeholders will discuss clothing and textile design and manufacture in SA (Monday 17 January 10h00 SA time), the empowerment of women through women owned businesses (Tuesday 18 Jan 10h00 SA time) and a multi sector dialogue (Tuesday 25 Jan 10h00 SA time) For more information, visit

With record numbers of visitors to the stand in December, drawn by the monthly changes to Team SA’s themes, Proudly SA is hopeful that the exposure that is derived from their month in focus will provide additional market access and export opportunities for its members and draw attention to the diversity of SA manufacturing.
