La Fabbrica Italiana launches Nonna’s Kitchen to serve Dubai with honest Italian cooking celebrating Italy’s evergreen flavours

There’s no bigger comfort than stepping into your kitchen and catching a whiff of your Nonna’s delicious cooking. Allowing customers to relive the nostalgia, La Fabbrica Italiana has launched Nonna’s Kitchen featuring authentic Italian dishes that are only found tucked away in a sweet little abode in Italy! 

Available for both dine in and delivery, the menu hosts 8 traditional items, each recipe true to homely flavours with just enough zing to keep customers coming back for more. Nonna’s Kitchen includes dishes like Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, which is tagliatelle with home-made slow cooked beef Bolognese ragu topped with parmesan cheese, and La Polpette, which are home-made meatballs served in a luscious tomato sauce and parmesan cheese with focaccia on the side just to name a few.

Until the 29th of May, with every order of a dish from Nonna’s Kitchen, customers will be delighted with a Focacciatella on the house. Nothing best matches the affection of a true Nonna than a generous serving of pasta finished with a hearty portion of a scrumptious dessert!

Nonna’s Kitchen dishes include:

  • Spaghetti al Pomodoro (La Classica) AED 75 

Spaghetti with home-cooked Italian tomato sauce, basil and parmesan cheese – AED 55. Option for Spaghetti with 150gm meatballs

  • Penne e Funghi AED 65

Penne with sauteed Italian mushrooms, cooking cream and parmesan cheese

  • Tagliatelle alla Bolognese AED 75

Tagliatelle with home-made beef bolognese ragù (slow-cooked for 4 hours with tomato sauce) topped with parmesan cheese

  • Penne Arabiata AED 55

Homemade Italian tomato sauce with garlic, onion, celery and chili peppers

  • Pasta al Pesto

Spaghetti al dente with freshly house-made pesto sauce topped with aged parmesan cheese 

  • Lasagna Bolognese AED 70

Homemade fresh pasta, grandma’s beef ragu, mozzarella cheese, bechamel sauce

  • La Polpette AED 75

Homemade meatballs with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese served with plain focaccia on the side

  • Parmigiana AED 65

Eggplant layers, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and tomato sauce served with plain focaccia on the side

Renowned for being UAE’s first focacceria, the Italian restaurant is known to offer its customers dishes that have been tweaked and refined over generations. Adding a touch of Nonna to their artisanal cooking, the Co-founders Chef Davide Galbialti, Maurizio Galbialti, and Karam Annab Galbiati are set to welcome guests to bask in the warm fuzzy flavours in their own peaceful nook of the buzzy neighbourhood at Wasl 51.
