Framatome Wins Contract For 5.6GW Barakah Nuclear Plant In UAE

News: Nawah Energy Company, formed by Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and Korea Electric Power Corporation to operate and maintain the 5.6GW Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant in UAE, has signed maintenance and engineering services agreement with Framatome for the project. As per the agreement, Framatome will handle maintenance and engineering services for the four APR1400 nuclear reactors of the facility. About 95% of the work on the overall Barakah nuclear project has been completed with the first 1.4GW unit already operational since April. The Units 3 and 4 are currently in the final stages of construction (Energy Utilities).
