The UAE News report: Expo 2020 Dubai tickets will go on sale worldwide from 18 July 2021, priced at AED 95 ($26) for a day pass.

With three months to go until the mega event opens, the organisers announced that 30-day passes will be available for AED 195 and a pass for the full six months for AED 495.

Expo 2020 tickets include access to all pavilions, events and live performances, which organisers say will include 60 live events each day, including music, dance, art, talks and national day celebrations.

Children under the age of 18 and students holding a valid student ID from any academic institution in the world will be given free entry. Complimentary tickets will be available for people of determination, with their companion receiving a 50 per cent discount, while visitors ages 60 years and above can also enter for free.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “The scale and diversity of what Expo 2020 Dubai has to offer is remarkable, and a testament to the commitment, tenacity and collaborative spirit of each and every individual who has made this happen.”

Tickets will go on sale online from 18 July at expo2020dubai.com as well as 2,500 authorised ticket resellers, including online travel agents, tour operators, hotel groups and airlines.

Expo 2020 Dubai, set to begin on 1st October, is expected to attract more than 25 million visitors from all over the world to discover life-changing innovations. The mega event aims to drive collaboration and innovation to develop real-life solutions as the world heads into a post-pandemic economic recovery.

On June 23rd  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the countdown for Expo 2020 Dubai, the world’s largest cultural event to convene the global community towards creating solutions for a better future.

“100 days to go for Expo 2020 Dubai, the world’s largest cultural event. 100 days to go for the gathering of 192 nations in Dubai in the biggest global event since the outset of the pandemic to usher in a new phase of recovery,” Shiekh Mohammed tweeted. “50,000 employees have set up 192 pavilions and 30,000 volunteers are ready to welcome the world at Expo 2020 Dubai,” he added. – abdulbasit@theuaenews.com
