Explore the world of stamps with ‘Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition’ at Expo 2020 Dubai

For the ones who love stamps and like exploring the world of it, Expo 2020 Dubai might be right the place for you as the event is all set to host the ‘Emirates 2022 World Stamp Exhibition,’ the organisers announced.

Slated to take place from January 19 to 23, the event is being conducted by Emirates Post Group in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, where hundreds of philatelists are expected to attend.

The event will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre which will also mark the beginning of eight international philatelic events being held around the world in 2022.

A total of 27 countries from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, America, and Oceania, will feature 174 exhibits along with participation from postal administrations from GCC and Arab countries, philatelic and numismatic dealers, and philately enthusiasts.

With an aim to showcase and promote philately, or the collection and study of postage stamps, the exhibition also targets developing cultural exchange and mutually beneficial partnerships that can contribute to enriching philately in the region.

Bringing a variety of interesting feats, the event will have exhibit, competition, and classes, that has been divided into 10 categories—traditional philately, postal history, postal stationery, thematic philately, aerophilately, astrophilately, revenues, philatelic literature, one frame and picture postcards.

The five-day event will also feature seminars featuring expert panellists and philatelic and numismatic auctions. Additionally, there is a ‘Postcards to Space’ initiative, that will be a dedicated corner for students to learn about stamps and their importance as well as participate in them.
