Dubai Customs revealed in recent statistics that Dubai’s foreign trade in medicines and medical supplies achieved in the first quarter of 2021 a growth of 31 percent to reach about 6.8 billion dirhams, distributed to imports worth 5.3 billion dirhams, and exports and re-exports worth 1.4 billion dirhams compared to trade in medicines and medical supplies In the first quarter of the year 2020, which amounted to 5.2 billion dirhams, the amount of trade in medicines and medical supplies recorded in the first quarter of 2021 a growth of 47 percent to reach 48.6 thousand tons, compared to 33 thousand tons in the first quarter of 2020.

Work is done to clear these shipments after ensuring that they meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection to complete the inspection, inspection and customs clearance procedures.
