Dubai’s economy set to grow 3.4% in 2022: Sheikh Hamdan

In 2021, the economy is expected to grow 3.1%, the crown prince said.

Dubai’s economy is expected to grow 3.1% this year and 3.4% in 2022, Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said on Tuesday.

He said the emirate had weathered the global shock waves of the pandemic, thanks to the guidance and foresight of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai .

The Crown Prince posted on Twitter: “Our vision for the future is built on key global partnerships and the dynamic energy of our national talent.

At the end of last month, Sheikh Mohammed assured nationals and residents of the United Arab Emirates that the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic was over. “The United Arab Emirates have worked as one team during the pandemic, making the country one of the best in the world in the fight against Covid-19,” he tweeted.

The Covid-19 figures have remained well below 1,000 since August 24, and the United Arab Emirates is on track to vaccinate 100% of its residents before the end of the year.
