March 30, 2020 The organizers of Expo 2020 in Dubai have recommended postponing the event by one year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The final decision will be taken by the Bureau International des Expositions in Paris, but it is now considered inevitable. The demonstration, which was supposed to open in October, will be postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic, says the draft decision already agreed in the meeting between the representatives of the Arab Emirates and those of the countries involved in the event, anticipated by Reuters.
The announcement should come after the meeting of the member states of the Bureau International des Expositions (Bie), also in Dubai.
The Expo, in which 192 countries participate, should have welcomed 11 million visitors.
