Dubai is set to bask in Ramadan celebrations with numerous activities across the city

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, residents and visitors of Dubai have been preparing in full swing. The month-long festivity is celebrated with much grandeur with fasting and feasting.

The city turns into a divine abode with streets and corners beautifully decked up for celebrations. And to add to the festivities, a wonderful line-up of family-friendly cultural and community-focused experiences have been lined up for all.

Embracing the city’s heritage as well as its world-class retail and entertainment offerings, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has put together an extensive range of activities that will highlight family occasions, food and ambience making Ramadan such a special time of the year.

The city will come alive with traditional Ramadan lighting installations, including stunning 3D decorations and flags. The city will sparkle with 150 palm trees with beautiful ambient lights, and 20 eye-catching 3D structures that will be installed across 12 key locations, including Deira Clock Tower, City Walk, World Trade Centre Roundabout and The Beach opposite JBR, and 370 flags on Al Maktoum Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge and Business Bay Bridge spreading the message of Ramadan in Dubai.

The City Walk’s Ramadan market will feature around 20 kiosks located near the fountain area, with lots of retail and food and beverages options for visitors to explore and enjoy throughout the Holy Month.

The festivity will bring an immersive local shopping experience each weekend throughout the month. Almost all the malls in Dubai have lined up a huge range of Ramadan-themed events, offers and activities for all. Famous for its wide variety of dining options, restaurants at the mall will offer a range of deals for iftar including kids eat for free promotions and delicious set menus.

There are also going to be charitable initiatives to celebrate the spirit of the Holy Month by participating in the United Nation’s World Food Programme ‘Share the Meal’ initiative, aimed at providing poor students with regular school meals. The event has been supported by Dubai Holding and will take place throughout Ramadan.
