“Dubai Electricity and Water” launches a campaign to rationalize consumption

DEWA organized a range of internal and external activities and launched an information campaign through its social media pages to encourage community members to rationalize electricity and water consumption and adopt sustainable behaviors that help preserve the environment and natural resources, such as benefiting from digital services, use of electric vehicles and installation of panels This happened in connection with World Environment Day, which falls on June 5 each year, and is held this year under the slogan “We only have one land.” The Authority’s Innovation Center at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy Complex also organized a clean-up campaign for the area around the complex in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and the participants in the “Al Marmoom Ultra Marathon”, “Dulsco” and “Customize Group”.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, stressed the need to involve all members of society in the effort to conserve natural resources, environmental habitats and biodiversity and reduce the negative effects of wrong practices, which is harmful to the environment, thus helping to consolidate the foundations of environmental sustainability.In the Emirate of Dubai, to ensure the environmental health required to maintain the quality of life.

The ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, said: “The fate of countries is one and our future is intertwined … We can not work in isolation from the global system to protect a global homeland, which is the Earth.” The Authority works to promote sustainability in all its environmental, social and economic aspects to achieve the 2050 CO2 Neutrality Strategy for the Emirate of Dubai and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030. His Excellency continued that the Authority launched groundbreaking initiatives and projects that included all clean and renewable energy technologies in Dubai.
