COYA Dubai collaborates with local artists to honour the global brand’s landmark 10-year anniversary

COYA Dubai is marking the COYA brand’s 10-year anniversary by launching a momentous and creative art project that showcases the skills of local artists. Set to be unveiled on May 29, the innovative Pisco Jar Project presents an exhibition of ten beautifully decorated Pisco jars, with each one uniquely designed and painted by regional talents.

Marking a decade since the opening of the flagship COYA in London in 2012, the Pisco Jar project is a global activation that features all nine international COYA venues.

As the Peruvian national beverage, the Pisco jars symbolise the allure and charm of Peruvian heritage and the uplifting and eclectic DNA of the COYA brand. All ten of the distinctive and imaginatively decorated glass jar will be up on display for guests to admire in the Pisco Bar and throughout the venue of COYA Dubai.

Featuring four much-admired artists from Dubai, the customised jars accurately reflect the city’s melting pot culture, glamorous lifestyle and local traditions. These elements have been captured by Irish-born, artist Anna McKeown, also known as Pop and Toast, with her bright and funky decorated jars. This collaboration is brought to reality through the brand collaboration platform The Caviar Spoon.

Complementing her head-turning designs is collaging, surrealism and realism artist Ramsha Sh. A self-taught artist who likes to experiment with various mediums and techniques, her works are inspired by street art and a desire to recreate everyday reality in artistic form.

Egyptian female empowerment artist Farida Abushady, who previously exhibited her ‘Mother Nature’ collection at COYA Dubai in honour of International Women’s Day, has also channelled her fine art skills. Born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Dubai, she founded the Dubai-based creative consultancy, The Art Wheel Co.

Finally, Emirati painter Moza Al Mansoori has used her years of experience in crafting amazing acrylic, watercolour and oil paintings to join in with this one-of-a-kind celebration that highlights the great legacy of the COYA brand, the magic of Peruvian culture and the uniting and uplifting power of art. Passionate about representing the great culture and heritage of the UAE, her work often features traditional Emirati crafts and local wildlife, while she is also a qualified ceramics teacher.

All ten of the striking and skilfully decorated Pisco jars will be available to view in COYA Dubai from May 29 onwards.
