Dubai ദ Diva (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) officials said that carbon emissions in Dubai have been significantly reduced in recent years.

In 2019, carbon emissions were reduced by 22%. By 2020, it will be 33%. She pointed out that this was possible due to strong measures and that Diva was able to play an important role in this.

At the same time, the target was to reduce it by 16% by 2021, but it was able to double it.

According to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, this is part of Dubai’s Clean Electricity Policy 2050.

The plan is to meet all of Dubai’s electricity and water needs by 2050 in a clean way. The Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions project is also part of this. The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the world’s largest single solar site, is a major project, officials said.
