The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a memorandum between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. The document provides for mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The purpose of the memorandum is to create an opportunity for citizens of Ukraine and the UAE who move to another country to exchange national certificates under a simplified procedure,” the explanatory note reads.
According to the memorandum, the exchange of certificates is carried out without the need to pass the relevant practical and theoretical exams.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian-Italian agreement on mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses has temporarily expired on June 1, 2021.
