CK Akonnor and his charges left Accra on Monday dawn and are expected to touch down in Morocco later in the day.
The Black Stars are also scheduled to take on Ivory Coast in a second international friendly on Saturday, June 12, at the Cape Coast stadium.
Earlier this week, the team was visited by Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and Deputy Minister-designate Evans Opoku Bobie at their camp.
The two government officials paid a courtesy call on the team to wish them well ahead of their two international friendlies.
Meanwhile, FIFA has also approved Ghana’s request to play an International friendly against the Ivory Coast despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
In compliance with the regulations governing international matches, it is imperative that Member Associations seek authorization from FIFA for all tier 1 matches.
Ghana last played against the Elephants in 2015, when the two countries met in the final of the AFCON, with Ivory Coast triumphing 9-8 on penalties after a goalless draw.
