Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced to operate regular flights on the Chattogram-Dubai route from January 11. At the same time, a special flight will run on the Dhaka-Chattogram-Dubai route from January 9.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines said this in a press release on Thursday.
The press release informed that a special Dhaka-Chattogram-Dubai flight will be launched at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram with the launch of the PCR test lab for Covid-19. Regular flights will run from Chattogram in two days. Tickets for the Chattogram-Dubai route will be available from Thursday afternoon.
Biman’s flight BG-4147 will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka on January 9 at 10:15 am and will reach Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram at 11 am. It will then leave Chattogram at 12 pm for Dubai.
Passengers are requested to be present at the airport at least 8 hours before departure to complete all formalities as per Dubai travel guidelines.
Due to rising demand, air fares on various routes in the Middle East more than doubled in December. Especially, due to the pandemic impact, the expatriate workers were troubled over the rising fares. On Tuesday, on its golden jubilee, Biman announced a reduction in fares for Middle East passengers.
The maximum price for each one-way ticket for economy-class Chattogram-Dubai flight has been fixed at Tk 65,329 including tax and the minimum price for each one-way business-class ticket has been fixed at Tk 86,536 including tax.
