Dubai, UAE. February 21, 2023 — It’s the season of Art in Dubai and Art in Space Dubai have prepared nothing less than an extravagant digital art festival to satisfy the creative geek in us.

The digital art festival arranged by Art in Space is set to be the first-ever digital art festival in Dubai and the biggest of its kind – gathering more than 100 digital artists from all over the world including Dubai’s Jalal Luqman – the country and the region’s first-ever Emirati digital artist which began his work in 1996.

Speaking about the project, Lorenzo Rosettani, CEO of Art in Space Dubai said: “We are extremely excited to bring this milestone digital art festival to the city of now – Dubai. There is no better time to showcase the artworks of these talented artists from all over the world than now. With Dubai’s vision to strengthen the art and culture scene, I am optimistic of the future of the art industry in this country.”

To kick-off the week long art festival, Michael Benistry will be showcasing his art pieces inspired by his adornment with the national bird of the UAE — The Falcon.

Accompanied by an original score of Middle Eastern instruments, this multi-sensory experience speaks passionately to the beauty of the region and the high regard that Emiratis have for the bird.

“For this project, I wanted to honor the falcon. 

These magnificent birds have played a crucial part in the traditional culture of the United Arab Emirates. With the combination of 360 multi-sensory technology, I created an immersive journey designed not only to stimulate the senses but to showcase the beauty of the region and my latest Animal Kingdom sculpture” said Michael Benisty

The second event is called BOULEVART kicking off on February 24 and will be open to the public until February 26, 2023. In this exhibition, audiences will be treated with immersive experience, digital and video art, web3 & NFT art pieces. Featuring more than 100 Digital Artists and a series of talk and panel discussions. Some of the biggest names in the art world will be present including Sheidlina, Krista Kim, Federico Clapis, Sky Golpe, Rank SSS, Maggie West, OSF Rekt, Orkhan, Simon Dee, and UAE’s very own Jalal Luqman — UAE’s first-ever Emirati digital artist.

On February 27, the launch of Vertical Crypto Art. On the occasion of Art Dubai, VerticalCrypto Art partners with Art in Space to curate an international group show exhibition in their multi-sensorial immersive art gallery. 

The exhibition titled “Sensations” seeks to expand the notion of art by presenting works that have been created specifically to be experienced on a multi sensorial level.

This exhibition will be open to public from February 27-March 3

And the last event of the season is the private exhibition of ThankYouX.  

The private exhibition of ThankYouX in Dubai will give an exclusive opportunity to collectors to see and experience 5 senses artworks. About his artwork, inside  the 180 booth will be 2 “landscape” connected art pieces that play off of each other. His abstract interpretation of the two sides of the brain. The 2 pieces together will form one long visual while the other art piece will be a vertical piece on the outside of the booth.
