I’m not pressured to do well for Super Eagles.

The striker for Napoli, Victor Osimhen, maintains that he is not under any need to leave his mark at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

In his two competition appearances for Nigeria, Osimhen has only managed one goal.

The 25-year-old has also blown a number of obvious opportunities.

That has been ascribed by many to the pressure of being the finest player in Africa right now.

The striker, meanwhile, refuted the assertion, saying that he was more concerned with seeing the Super Eagles win in Cote d’Ivoire.

In Abidjan, Osimhen told reporters, “I am not under pressure.”
“I am the African Player of the Year winner, but that is the past now.

“At this point, winning the AFCON and performing well with the team is what matters most to me.”I’m not concerned with how I perform personally. While the other players finish the task, I could sit on the bench.

On Monday, the Super Eagles will play their final group match at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan against Guinea-Bissau.
The game begins at 7 p.m. Nigerian time.
