Folklore decided to open a new showroom

Folklore made it public to open new Fall ’24 showroom during the New York Fashion Week

The Folklore Group, a prominent fashion commerce company, is set to expand its footprint at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) with an upcoming fall 2024 showroom. Looking ahead, the company aims to further its influence by organizing four showrooms throughout the year in New York, spanning resort, pre-fall to fall ’24, and spring ’25. Folklore serves as a platform that empowers brands to grow globally, catering to diverse consumer product businesses in regions like Africa, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean. The NYFW showroom supports The Folklore Connect’s hybrid showroom or store-in-store approach, a B2B wholesale marketplace utilized by major retailers such as Nordstrom, Shopbop, and Revolve to discover emerging brands. The February and September 2023 showrooms garnered over 1,500 attendees.

Scheduled to take place from February 11–14 in SoHo, The Folklore NYFW Showroom will allow industry professionals to schedule appointments and view collections from 23 apparel and accessories brands from the US, UK, South Africa, Nigeria, Hong Kong, Colombia, and Côte d’Ivoire. Amira Rasool, the current CEO of The Folklore Group, expressed excitement about nearly doubling the number of diverse designers this season. She noted that the NYFW showroom has become a staple on the calendar, leading to the expansion of physical showrooms in 2024, including resort in June, spring/summer in September, and pre-fall in December.
