Egypt, Morocco, Sierra Leone to boost aviation co-operation

By Mohamed Attia

Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Mohamed Abbas Helmy, met with Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral co-operation in civil aviation.

The two ministers agreed to work together to increase air traffic and tourism between the two countries. They also discussed ways to boost trade and economic co-operation.

“Egypt is committed to working with its partners to promote Egypt as a top tourist destination,” Helmy said. “Morocco is a key partner in this effort, and we are confident that we can work together to achieve our shared goals.”

In a separate meeting, Helmy met with Sierra Leone’s Minister of Transport and Aviation, Fanti Turay, to discuss ways to co-operate in civil aviation. The two ministers agreed to work together to transfer Egyptian expertise and capabilities to Sierra Leone. They also discussed the possibility of launching direct flights between the two countries.

“We are committed to supporting our African brothers and sisters,” Helmy said. “We are confident that our co-operation with Sierra Leone will be mutually beneficial.”
