Audioboom celebrates a year of growth around the world

Audioboom says that 2023 was an “exceptional year of growth and success” for the company.

Podcasts on the Audioboom Creator Network were downloaded 1.5 billion times in 2023 and were listened to in more than 150 countries. The USA, UK and Australia were its biggest regions for listening, but shows were also heard in Antarctica, The Ivory Coast, and Madagascar.

Over 300 million people listened to an Audioboom podcast during the year, with Wednesday 8 March 2023 being the most popular day to listen to one of its shows.

The company was positioned as the 5th biggest podcast publisher in the United States, as reported by Edison Research.

During 2023 creators published more than 175,000 episodes through the Audioboom platform using its tools to distribute their content to listeners on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, Tune-In and many other apps.

Episodes of True Crime podcasts were most popular, followed by Politics and Comedy.

Audioboom partnered with over 10,000 brands last year, helping them to reach a huge audience and run advertising campaigns successfully. This enabled the company to deliver more than $50 million of payments to its creators, to support their work in podcasting.

“Our year in numbers not only reflects the size and scale of the platform that Audioboom has built, but is also testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our partners,” says Stuart Last, Chief Executive Officer. “Podcasting is a wonderful and inspiring medium, and I believe 2024 will bring even more success for us all.”
