Anantara to Open New Hotels in Dubai, Thailand and Saudi Arabia

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is growing its global presence by opening new properties in Dubai, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.

Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel will become the brand’s third property in the United Arab Emirates city on 1st July.

The 252-key property will be positioned as a “lifestyle hub,” with a variety of food and beverage outlets as well as a dedicated wellness floor with a gym, swimming pool, and Anantara Spa.

The rooms and suites will have views of Downtown Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa.

The brand stated that “luxury touch points” and experiences will be introduced in the coming months, with a series of property enhancements beginning later in 2022.

Anantara has also recently announced the addition of a new-build property on Thailand’s Koh Yao Yai Island, set to open in December 2022.

Koh Yao Yai is situated in Phang Nga Bay, halfway between Phuket and Krabi.

Anantara Koh Yao Yai will have 148 rooms, including oceanfront suites, one and two-bedroom beachfront pool villas, and sea view pool penthouses.

A free-form swimming pool, a large indoor-outdoor kids’ club, meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a water sports center will also be included in the property.

An ocean-facing dining restaurant serving Thai and Asian dishes, an all-day lobby restaurant and bar with an evolving international menu, a pool bar, and an organic farm will be among the dining options.

Minor Hotels, Anantara’s parent company, also recently confirmed a memorandum of understanding with Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) to develop an Anantara property in Saudi Arabia.

Diriyah is located just outside of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the DGDA is transforming more than 11 square kilometers of land into a large cultural and lifestyle development.

Minor Hotels confirmed that the hotel is currently in the final stages of planning, with more information about the upcoming property to be released soon.

Anantara’s portfolio now includes over 40 hotels and resorts.
