Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, participated on Sunday in the first working session of the 36th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Algeria, in the presence of the President of the Union, Ibrahim Bou Ghali, and the heads of parliaments and the participating delegations.
The media office of the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The heads of the participating Arab parliaments, councils and delegations extended their thanks to Al-Mandalawi, the former President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, for his great efforts that he made during the period of Iraq’s presidency of the Union and under difficult and exceptional circumstances that the region was going through.”
“During the session, the agenda was approved, and the reports of the President and the Secretary-General, and the reports of the sessions (32, 33, and 34) of the Executive Committee of the Arab Parliamentary Union were presented for approval, in addition to the speeches of the heads of parliaments, councils, and delegations.”
