Air Côte D’Ivoire. Four Weekly Flights to Casablanca Next April

Air Côte d’Ivoire will launch four direct flights between Casablanca and Abidjan on April 15. An initiative that marks, according to the Ivorian company, the start of a series of ambitious projects with upcoming services to New York, Brussels, Washington, Beirut, and London by 2027.

In addition to Mohammed V airport in Nouaceur, the Ivorian national airline plans to operate several rotations to Paris next December, according to Laurent Loukou, Managing Director of Air Côte d’Ivoire. According to the latter, a total of three A330-900 aircraft will be chartered for these new Moroccan and French services, two of which are acquired and the other leased. Also, to ensure its expansion across the globe in the short and medium term, the company plans to deploy 14 additional aircraft.

It should be noted that Air Côte d’Ivoire considers the Moroccan market to be strategic. And for good reason; the Ivorian population residing in Morocco has continued to grow in recent years, as have Moroccans residing abroad in Côte d’Ivoire. Should we also add the role of the regional hub that the Ivorian capital plays in air transport between several West African countries and Morocco? Finally, let us remember that Air Côte d’Ivoire will face competition in this new route between Casablanca and Abidjan from Royal Air Maroc which already offers 12 weekly rotations.
