ABK-Egypt and MetLife Join Forces Again for a Seven-Year Bancassurance Partnership!

Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt Enhances Customer Offerings with Renewed Partnership with MetLife Egypt

In an exciting move for the banking and insurance sectors, Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt) recently announced the renewal of its successful bancassurance partnership with MetLife Egypt for another seven years. This milestone marks a significant extension of a collaboration that has flourished over the past decade, aiming to expand insurance accessibility for ABK-Egypt’s customers.

The formal signing of this renewed partnership took place at a ceremony attended by high-ranking officials, including Iman El-Essawy, Head of Retail Banking at ABK-Egypt, and Walid Abdel Mohsen, Bancassurance Director at MetLife. This gathering not only highlighted the importance of the agreement but also showcased the commitment of both organizations to enhancing customers’ financial security.

Haitham Taher, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of MetLife Egypt, shared insights into the significance of this renewed collaboration. He explained that it reinforces the company’s dedication to leveraging the bancassurance model as a crucial driver for financial inclusion in Egypt. “With seven active bancassurance partnerships today, we align our efforts with Egypt’s Vision 2030,” he stated. “These collaborations go beyond just offering products; they play an essential role in building a more inclusive and sustainable financial ecosystem that encourages long-term growth.”

Khaled El Salawy, CEO and Managing Director of ABK-Egypt, echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in the partnership’s “outstanding performance and significant growth” in policy issuance. He highlighted how bancassurance serves as a fundamental component of ABK-Egypt’s growth strategy, ensuring that customers have access to integrated financial solutions.

Since the partnership’s inception in 2015, MetLife has consistently honored client claims, fostering a strong sense of trust among customers, according to Iman El-Essawy. With 46 branches spanning across Egypt, ABK-Egypt is poised to provide tailored insurance solutions more efficiently, thanks to this renewed cooperation.

Under the terms of the renewed agreement, MetLife will continue to offer a wide range of products, including life insurance, savings-linked protection plans, personal accident coverage, and surgical health insurance. As the partnership progresses, both organizations aim to broaden their customer base while enhancing confidence in bancassurance solutions.

In a nation that is actively working toward improving financial literacy and inclusion, this renewed partnership between ABK-Egypt and MetLife is a step in the right direction, paving the way for a more secure financial future for many Egyptians.
