Bahrain and the Comoros are advancing their digital cooperation through a new agreement.

The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Union of the Comoros signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance eGovernment and digital transformation. This agreement, part of Bahrain’s Global Digital Twinning Initiative, was formalized during a virtual meeting between Bahrain’s Information & eGovernment Authority and the Comoros’ National Digital Development Agency.

Bahrain and Comoros Join Forces for Digital Growth

This partnership aims to bolster digital services in the Comoros, aligning with United Nations standards. Bahrain launched its Global Digital Twinning Initiative in December 2024, focusing on expanding digital cooperation with friendly nations.

Under the agreement, Bahrain will assist the Comoros in improving its performance in the United Nations eGovernment Development Index (EGDI). This support will include the exchange of technical expertise and training programs designed to enhance digital government services.
