Ho Chi Minh City Supports LEGO’s Sustainable Development Initiatives

Ho Chi Minh City is enhancing its partnership with Denmark, focusing on sustainable development.

On April 21, Vice Chairman Nguyen Cong Vinh met with Danish officials, including Ambassador Nicolai Prytz and LEGO’s Senior Vice President Jesper Hassellund Mikkelsen. The discussions centered on LEGO’s commitment to clean energy and the city’s support for this green initiative.

Ho Chi Minh City Strengthens Ties with Denmark

During the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Cong Vinh praised the Danish Embassy for fostering cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Danish partners. He highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting LEGO’s sustainable development strategy, particularly its focus on clean energy in production.

The city has directed the management board of VSIP 3 Industrial Park to collaborate with relevant agencies. Their task is to review and report on mechanisms for purchasing clean electricity, aiming to align with regulations and engage businesses in sustainable practices.

Investment Environment in Ho Chi Minh City

Ambassador Nicolai Prytz noted that Vietnam is a key partner for Denmark in the region. He emphasized that Danish companies value the investment climate in both Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City. Furthermore, he announced plans for Denmark to establish a Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City by the end of this year.
