Idoma Hall of Fame to Honor More Personalities Every Two Years

The Idoma Hall of Fame is set to become a beacon of excellence and legacy preservation in Nigeria.

During its inaugural induction ceremony in Abuja, Engr. Morgan Okwoche announced that the Idoma Hall of Fame (IHOF) will honor deserving Idoma personalities every two years. This initiative aims to recognize achievements and celebrate the rich heritage of the Idoma people.

Idoma Hall of Fame Launches with First Induction Ceremony

The maiden induction ceremony of the Idoma Hall of Fame took place as part of the Idoma Centenary Plus celebration. Engr. Okwoche emphasized the wealth of talent and service among the Idoma people, stating that it cannot be fully recognized in a single event. The biennial format will ensure that more individuals can be honored in future ceremonies.

Okwoche expressed regret over any omissions of qualified personalities from the first list of inductees, assuring that the biennial nature of the IHOF will provide opportunities for future recognition. He congratulated the inductees, particularly acknowledging the significance of honoring deceased honorees whose legacies continue to inspire.

Nurturing Idoma Heritage and Future Generations

Okwoche highlighted the importance of protecting the institution from divisive interests and upholding its founding ideals. He praised the founder, Engr. Remi Olowude, for his vision and commitment in establishing the IHOF. The institution is dedicated to recognizing excellence and serving the public interest.

Additionally, Okwoche announced that the permanent physical hall in Otukpo, Benue State, is nearing completion and will soon be commissioned. The exact date for the commissioning will be announced later.

Future Plans for the Idoma Hall of Fame

  • The permanent physical hall will be commissioned soon.
  • The date for the commissioning will be announced.
  • Future induction ceremonies will continue every two years.

Honoring excellence today ensures a legacy for future generations.
