Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah is actively preserving local cultural heritage through hands-on workshops.
The recent workshop on ‘Wau Pungguk’ attracted over 40 participants and received a funding allocation of RM20,000. This initiative aims to transfer knowledge and skills related to the history, design, and crafting of this traditional kite.

The workshop, held in Kampung Tanjong Gosong, Pekan, focused on practical learning experiences. Participants engaged in various sessions, including the assembly of the kite’s frame and the application of paper.
