Hyundai Supplies Electric Buses to Marrakech for Eco-Friendly Transportation

Hyundai is advancing eco-friendly transportation in Morocco with electric buses.

In a significant move, Hyundai Motor Company is supplying 15 Elec City electric buses to Marrakech, Morocco, as part of an official development assistance project by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The delivery ceremony took place on September 21 at Hyundai’s Jeonju plant in South Korea, with the buses set to enhance public transport in key tourist areas.

Hyundai’s Commitment to Eco-Friendly Transport in Morocco

The Elec City buses represent a major step towards sustainable public transportation in Marrakech. These buses are the first domestically produced electric buses to be supplied to Morocco, highlighting a commitment to reducing carbon emissions in urban areas. Alongside the buses, Hyundai will provide fast chargers and local training for the operation and maintenance of the vehicles.
