Former Lagos Speaker Calls for APC Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

As Nigeria gears up for the 2027 elections, the stakes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election are high.

Former Lagos State Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members to intensify efforts for Tinubu’s victory. He emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization and direct engagement with voters to counter emerging political coalitions challenging the administration.

APC Urged to Mobilize for Tinubu’s Re-election

Ikuforiji stressed that the upcoming election should not be taken lightly. He warned that coalitions are forming to oppose Tinubu, and APC members must be prepared to combat these challenges. He called for collective efforts to secure a decisive victory.

He highlighted the need for more than just traditional campaign methods, urging party members to engage directly with the electorate. This includes door-to-door outreach to effectively communicate the administration’s policies and achievements.

Nigerians Encouraged to Support Tinubu’s Agenda

Ikuforiji believes that Tinubu deserves a second term due to his administration’s transformative efforts. He pointed out that the president has the experience needed to tackle Nigeria’s challenges and promote sustainable development.

He noted that the economy is responding positively to government policies, and Nigerians are beginning to embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda. Continuity in leadership is essential to build on these efforts, according to Ikuforiji.

Next Steps for APC Members

  • Intensify grassroots mobilization efforts.
  • Engage voters through direct communication.
  • Explain the administration’s policies and achievements.
  • Prepare to counter emerging political coalitions.

APC members are urged to rally for Tinubu’s re-election to ensure continuity in governance.
