Luxor International Airport is undergoing significant upgrades to enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency.
Wael El-Nashar, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, recently inspected the ongoing development works at Luxor International Airport and the Balloon Launch Site. These improvements aim to accommodate increased traffic and ensure a comfortable experience for travelers.
Upgrades at Luxor International Airport
The expansion of the domestic departures area is a key focus, providing more space for passengers and streamlining their journey through the terminal. Additionally, 12 new aircraft parking positions have been completed, alongside enhancements to the taxiway, which will facilitate smoother aircraft movement.
Significant renovations have also been made to the check-in and processing area. This includes modernized check-in counters and improved lighting, creating a more organized environment for travelers. The VIP lounges have been upgraded to offer enhanced comfort and privacy, ensuring a refined experience for guests.
Improvements at the Balloon Launch Site
At the Balloon Launch Site, efforts are underway to better organize balloon movements and enhance safety. A new entrance with a modern design has been constructed, along with waiting areas and commercial shops that have been developed to improve the overall visitor experience.
The site now features a 450-square-metre waiting area equipped with tables and chairs, ensuring tourists have a comfortable space before their flights. Furthermore, 37 designated balloon parking areas have been created to optimize space and improve organization.
