Cora Gold’s Sanankoro project in Mali is showing promising results from its latest drilling campaign.
The initial assay results from Zone B reveal high-grade gold intercepts, including 22 m at 2.24 g/t gold and a standout 34 m at 6.78 g/t gold. These findings are part of a broader effort to expand the mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the project, which currently holds 1.04 million ounces of gold.
High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Sanankoro
The first batch of assay results from Cora Gold’s drilling at Zone B indicates significant mineralisation outside the existing MRE model. This area was chosen for its extensive strike length and broad mineralised widths, which suggest a strong potential for resource expansion. CEO Bert Monro emphasized the importance of these results, noting the potential for future mining plans to include underground operations.
Initial assays have demonstrated broad intervals of mineralisation, with several high-grade zones identified. These results are expected to enhance the project’s current MRE inventory and extend its life-of-mine, currently estimated at 10.2 years.

All these areas are conveniently located near the proposed gold processing plant, which is currently undergoing engineering design work.
