Telecom Egypt is expanding its digital infrastructure following a significant rise in earnings and cash flow. The state-controlled operator reported a 47% increase in net profit, positioning itself for a robust five-year investment strategy.

In the first half of 2026, Telecom Egypt’s net profit reached EGP15.4bn, driven by a 17% rise in revenue to EGP59.2bn. The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 20% to EGP26.4bn, reflecting strong performance across its data services and international traffic.

International incoming-call revenue surged by 32%, benefiting from an 18% rise in traffic and favorable foreign-exchange conditions. These results underscore the company’s strategic focus on enhancing its digital offerings.
