The International Clownbaret Festival is celebrating a significant milestone this year.

From September 30 to October 25, the Canary Islands will host the 20th anniversary of the festival, featuring 74 performances across 12 iconic locations. The event will showcase 17 national and international companies, including notable performers such as Peter Shub and Compagnie La Liberté.

Workshops and Community Engagement at the Festival

In addition to performances, the festival will host an intensive clown and comedy workshop titled “Make Them Laugh.” This workshop, led by Peter Shub, will take place on October 6, 7, and 8, from 5 PM to 9 PM at Espacio La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It aims to engage participants aged 18 and over through practical exercises in presence, rhythm, observation, and improvisation.

The festival is backed by several organizations, including the Government of the Canary Islands and the Ministry of Culture, ensuring a robust support system for this cultural celebration.
