Namibia’s Langer Heinrich uranium mine is ramping up production significantly.
Paladin Energy has set a production guidance of 5.1-million to 5.6-million pounds of uranium octoxide (U3O8) for the financial year ending June 30, 2027. This follows a successful ramp-up, with the mine producing 4.82-million pounds of U3O8 for the financial year ending June 30, exceeding the upper end of its previous guidance.
Paladin Energy’s Production Goals for Uranium
Paladin Energy’s Langer Heinrich mine is poised for increased output, with a production target set between 5.1-million and 5.6-million pounds of U3O8 for the upcoming financial year. The mine’s recent performance has been strong, producing 4.82-million pounds for the year ending June 30, surpassing its guidance of 4.5-million to 4.8-million pounds.
In the previous financial year, Paladin sold 4.35-million pounds of U3O8, exceeding its sales guidance of 3.8-million to 4.2-million pounds. For the 2027 financial year, sales are estimated to be between 4.8-million and 5.3-million pounds.
Investment Plans for Langer Heinrich Mine
Paladin Energy plans to invest between -million and -million in capital expenditure at the Langer Heinrich mine in the 2027 financial year. This investment will focus on key areas such as the design and construction of tailings storage facilities, process improvement studies, and infill drilling.
Additionally, the capital expenditure will cover the completion of selected capital exploration activities that were deferred from the previous financial year.
