Africazine:
Toubani Resources is making significant strides at its Kobada gold project in southern Mali, revealing promising drill results that could reshape its mining operations.
The company has reported high-grade gold mineralization from its ongoing reverse circulation drilling program. Notable findings include 72 m at 2.27 g/t gold and 53 m at 3.67 g/t gold, among others, as Toubani prepares for an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
High-Grade Gold Results at Kobada Project
The Kobada gold project boasts 2.2 million ounces in mineral resources across a 4.5 km strike length. Recent infill drilling has returned impressive results, including multiple high-grade intersections. For instance, one drill hole yielded 72 m at 2.27 g/t gold, with peaks of 16.8 g/t and 12.5 g/t gold within that interval.
These results are crucial as they provide further data to refine the understanding of mineralized structures. Toubani aims to use this information to enhance the upcoming MRE, which will inform the near-term mining schedule set to commence in early 2027.

Future Plans for Kobada Gold Project
Toubani is not resting on its laurels. The company is currently drilling at Foroko, targeting additional ore sources to enhance its mining strategy. Following this, they plan to explore mineralization at Gosso and Kobada West, which have shown potential in previous drilling.
With 30,000 m already drilled out of a planned 60,000 m for 2026, Toubani is on track with its ambitious drilling program. Aircore drilling is also in the pipeline for regional targets later this year, further expanding the exploration efforts.
Next Steps for Toubani Resources
- Complete drilling at Foroko
- Target mineralization at Gosso and Kobada West
- Finalize the updated MRE in Q3 2023
- Prepare for mining activities to start early in 2027
Toubani Resources is poised to enhance its gold production capabilities at the Kobada project with promising drilling results.
