The Ikorodu Ferry Terminal was closed for several months as LASWA addressed navigational issues caused by the water hyacinth. During this time, ferry services were redirected to the Ibeshe Ferry Terminal and Offin Jetty to maintain operations for passengers.

LASWA has confirmed that the reopening comes after successful clearance of the waterway and thorough safety assessments. The terminal has been certified safe for full passenger operations, ensuring that the public can travel with confidence.
