Isaac del Toro Rides Into the Spotlight with Upcoming Italian Classics

Following an impressive seventh-place finish at the World Road Cycling Championships in Rwanda, young Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro is gearing up for an exciting stint in Italy. From October 5 to 7, del Toro will compete in three prestigious one-day races: the Copa Agostoni, the Copa Bernocchi, and the Tre Valli Varesine. These events showcase some of the best cycling talent in the world, and del Toro’s participation adds to the event’s excitement, given his recent successes.

Del Toro will kick off the challenge with the Copa Agostoni, a revered race that honors Italian cycling legend Ugo Agostoni. The event has been a staple in the cycling calendar since 1946 and became professional in 1959. After the Copa Agostoni, del Toro will tackle the Copa Bernocchi the following day, featuring a thrilling one-stage competition in Legnano, a city known for its cycling heritage. Finally, he’ll wrap up the series with the Tre Valli Varesine, one of the oldest races globally, celebrated for its scenic routes that wind through the picturesque landscapes of Lombardy.

Currently ranked fourth in the world, Isaac del Toro has enjoyed a remarkable season, notching up 13 victories — six of which have come in Italy. His recent sweep of semi-classics races there is a testament to his rising prowess and versatility as a cyclist. This year alone, he has achieved a total of 16 professional wins at just 21 years old, making him a rider to watch on the international stage.

Team Manager Joxean Fernández praised del Toro’s unwavering support from fans, stating, “The Mexican fans are phenomenal. They come out in droves to cheer for Isaac, fueling his motivation on the road.” It’s clear that del Toro’s journey has not only captured the hearts of fans back home but also earned him a loyal following in Italy, where he has made a significant impact through his competitive success.

As he prepares for these upcoming races, cycling enthusiasts worldwide will be watching closely. With his impressive track record, del Toro aims to thrive in the exhilarating atmosphere of Italian cycling, joining the ranks of legends who have competed on these storied roads.
