Soaring High: easyJet Set to Launch 82,000 Flights for Unforgettable UK School Holiday Adventures!

As the school bells ring in the UK signaling the summer break, easyJet and easyJet Holidays are gearing up for an extraordinary travel season. With a record-breaking 82,000 flights lined up during this bustling period, the airline is set to welcome more than seven million travellers from the UK. It’s an impressive feat, reflecting a robust demand for air travel as families and holidaymakers seize the opportunity to explore new destinations.

To accommodate this surge, easyJet has significantly expanded its fleet, adding seven additional Airbus A320 aircraft based in major UK cities such as Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and the newly established London Southend base. This strategic move enables easyJet to offer a staggering 33 million seats this summer, an increase of half a million from the previous year. Excitement builds as easyJet unveils 44 new routes, introducing travellers to enchanting locales like Sal in Cape Verde, picturesque Rimini in Italy, and the vibrant city of Tbilisi in Georgia.

The peak travel day for this summer season is anticipated to be September 5, when nearly 2,000 flights are expected to carry over 300,000 passengers. This remarkable figure underscores the eagerness of families returning home and those embarking on well-deserved getaways. Not surprisingly, Spain emerges as the most sought-after destination, with Malaga and Palma de Mallorca topping the charts, while Faro in Portugal also remains a favourite. These sunny destinations are celebrated for their stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and delicious cuisine, making them ideal spots for holidaymakers.

Additionally, easyJet Holidays has also marked its largest summer season yet, with popular destinations like Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes, and Antalya drawing in large crowds. The tour operator has seen an influx of families taking advantage of their free kids’ places offer, making vacations more accessible and enjoyable for many.

In an official statement, Sophie Dekkers, the Chief Commercial Officer of easyJet, emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing a diverse range of travel options. “Millions of customers choose easyJet for our unmatched destination network, affordable fares, and exceptional service,” she said. “This summer, with more seats, new routes, and package holidays, we’re thrilled to offer our customers the chance to enjoy their hard-earned holidays with ease.”

In the broader context, easyJet continues to be a significant player in the European airline industry, operating over 340 aircraft on more than 1,000 routes across 35 countries. In 2024 alone, the airline successfully transported over 100 million passengers, connecting them with affordable and friendly service. Launched in 2019, easyJet Holidays has rapidly grown into a key holiday provider, catering to customers across the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and France, while garnering recognition as the UK & Ireland Travel Company of the Year in 2024.

As summer unfolds, easyJet is dedicated to making travel dreams a reality, combining affordability with exceptional service, and ensuring a memorable experience for holidaymakers across Europe. Whether you’re lounging on a sun-drenched beach or wandering vibrant city streets, easyJet’s extensive network has something to offer every traveller.
