This initiative aims to elevate South African professionals by providing them with unique opportunities to study abroad, tapping into programs that may not currently be available within our local educational landscape.
This bursary is an incredible chance for South African citizens and permanent residents looking to enhance their skills and gain a competitive edge in the global film industry. The funding, capped at an impressive R280,000, covers tuition fees and living expenses for the academic year commencing in September/October 2025. Who is Eligible?
- Applicants must submit their applications at least six months before the course starts.
- South African citizens or permanent residents are eligible.
- A strong academic record is essential.
- Demonstrated financial need for assistance.
- Enrolled in a full-time postgraduate film or television program at an accredited institution abroad.
- Courses should be unavailable in South Africa.
- Please note: Live performance or acting courses are excluded from this funding.
When applying, candidates must include a motivational letter explaining why they deserve the bursary, along with the necessary supporting documents listed in the online application form.
