Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA Launches New 30-Bed Hospital Initiative in Honor of Senator Oluremi Tinubu!

Ikoyi-Obalende Takes a Big Step in Healthcare: New 30-Bed Primary Health Centre Groundbreaking

In a significant move towards improving healthcare accessibility, the Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has officially broken ground for the construction of a new 30-bed Primary Healthcare Centre. This eagerly awaited facility, named after Senator Oluremi Tinubu, aims to enhance medical services for the community’s residents.

The momentous occasion took place on Tuesday, with a gathering of council officials, community members, and local leaders celebrating this vital development. Mr. Fuad Atanda-Lawal, the Chairman of the council, emphasized the administration’s commitment to providing quality healthcare and uplifting the community. “Today marks a crucial step toward ensuring that every resident in the Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA has access to the healthcare they deserve,” Atanda-Lawal stated.

He further elaborated that the initiative goes beyond just constructing a building; it is about establishing a fully functional healthcare facility staffed with qualified professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care. “This is not just a facility; it’s a lifeline for our people, ensuring that they receive the essential services they need,” he added.

Construction of the healthcare centre is set to commence immediately, with a projected completion timeline of just four months. “We’ve allocated the necessary funds, and our goal is to overcome previous delays—most notably related to land issues. Now that those are resolved, we’re more determined than ever to give back to our community,” Atanda-Lawal assured residents.

He encouraged community support for the project, urging local residents to allow workers the space and cooperation needed to complete the job on time. “Together, we can make this project a success, ensuring that we meet our timeline while delivering a facility that meets the highest standards of healthcare,” he said.

The event was met with enthusiasm from attendees, showcasing the community’s eagerness for improved healthcare facilities. With this promising development, Ikoyi-Obalende is positioned to better address the healthcare needs of its residents, reinforcing the importance of local initiatives in enhancing public health and well-being.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project, and let’s continue to support our local leaders in their efforts to create a healthier community for everyone!
