Traffic and Parking Arrangements

With thousands expected to converge in Accra for the inauguration, traffic management is a top priority. To facilitate this, certain roads will be closed temporarily. Here’s what you need to know:

Road Closures: Key routes such as 28th February Road, Osu Cemetery Traffic Light, Castle Road, and Starlet 91 Road will be temporarily closed to manage crowds.

Diverted Routes: Motorists will be redirected to alternative roads like Salem Avenue, Oxford Street, and Liberia Road.

Car Parks: Designated parking areas include locations behind the Independence Arch, the Forecourt of the State House, and Access Bank Car Park, ensuring that visitors have safe and accessible places to park.

International Participation

This year’s ceremony is expected to attract significant international attention with the presence of ten Heads of State, two Vice Presidents, a Speaker of Parliament, and two former presidents. Moreover, the event will see participation from numerous leaders of international organizations, indicating a strong global interest in Ghana’s political landscape.
