After joining the Wired for Fun team in 2021, Dr. Hefer worked diligently with Dr. Dippenaar and a dedicated staff to enhance the practice’s offerings. As of March 2024, Dr. Hefer takes the helm while Dr. Dippenaar continues to care for his existing patients until their treatments are concluded. This transition marks a new chapter for the practice, which is enthusiastic about welcoming new patients and perpetuating the level of care that has become a hallmark of Wired for Fun.
Dr. Hefer brings a wealth of experience to the practice. Graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2003, he completed his community service with the South African National Defence Force in Potchefstroom. He later obtained a Diploma in Endodontics in 2012 and gathered 16 years of experience in private practice in Johannesburg. Notably, he has honed his skills further by attending the Practical Orthodontics Academy mentorship under Dr. Weber in 2019. Currently, he is in the final stages of earning his MSc in Orthodontics focusing on adult orthodontics at the University of the Western Cape.
What’s more, the integration of innovative techniques and technologies into orthodontic procedures highlights the commitment Wired for Fun has to enhancing patient care. From personalized treatment plans to the latest in orthodontic technology, Dr. Hefer is eager to lead the team into a future full of promise and possibility.
