As we step into the week, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) is forecasting a delightful mix of autumn warmth and coastal breezes across the country. Monday brings a promise of moderately hot weather, particularly during the sunlit hours in most regions. For those in southern Egypt, be prepared for a bit of extra heat, as it’s expected to be warmer down south.
While many will enjoy the warmth, it’s also important to note some morning mist that will blanket agricultural and highway routes in Cairo and throughout Lower Egypt, as well as along the scenic North Coast. This mist adds a touch of mystery to the morning commute but may require extra caution for drivers.
In a fun twist, occasional winds are expected to pick up, adding movement to the otherwise stable weather. Beachgoers and maritime enthusiasts will need to keep an eye on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, where wave heights will range between 2 to 2.5 meters due to northeast surface winds creating moderate to turbulent conditions.
As the day transitions into night, don’t be surprised by a drop in temperatures, leading to pleasantly cool evenings. This lovely variance in climate is what makes autumn in Egypt something special.
Specific temperatures around the country are projected to be as follows: Cairo will see highs of 29°C, whereas Alexandria will touch 27°C. Marsa Matruh will bask in 26°C, while Sohag, Qena, and Aswan will feel the warmth more intensely at 32°C to 35°C.
As Egypt embraces the changes of the season, both locals and tourists can look forward to captivating experiences, whether it’s savoring the cultural offerings in the cooler evenings or soaking up the sun during the day. This weather blend is perfect for those planning to explore historical sites or enjoy outdoor activities in this rich and vibrant country.
Stay tuned for more updates, and make sure to enjoy the beautiful October days that Egypt has to offer!
