Discover the Magic of Kasbah Tamadot: A Symbol of Resilience and Renewal in Morocco

In exciting news from Morocco, the enchanting Kasbah Tamadot has reopened its doors, inviting travelers to experience its renewed beauty nestled in the breathtaking Atlas Mountains. Last year, the beloved boutique hotel faced challenges due to an earthquake in the region, but thanks to the tenacity and warmth of the local Berber communities, it has emerged stronger than ever.

Tanya Steer, a passionate advocate for the region, visited shortly after the earthquake and was humbled by the unwavering spirit of the Berber people, who offered support to one another despite their own losses. Through solidarity and action, the Kasbah Tamadot team, alongside the Eve Branson Foundation, successfully raised over £1 million for earthquake emergency relief. They provided ongoing employment to staff and kept Berber tents open to help ease the challenges faced by the local tourist economy.

In a celebratory reopening event, the picturesque Kasbah was transformed into a glimmering setting with floating candles illuminating the pool. As they danced the night away, a rare rainstorm blessed the occasion, believed by many Moroccans to signify good luck. Despite this surprise, the team creatively repurposed spaces, turning an animal shelter into a luxurious dining area, showcasing their resilience and dedication to guest experiences.

Kasbah Tamadot not only embodies the essence of fine Moroccan hospitality but also celebrates local craftsmanship, with 100% of its employees being Moroccan. Each new room, including six newly added sports suites, is a blend of traditional and modern design, offering breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, private pools, and lush lounge areas, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.

The hotel serves as a testament to the rich cultural history of the region, with interiors featuring handcrafted furnishings made by local artisans supported by the Eve Branson Foundation. This initiative strengthens the connection between the guest experience and the heart of the local community.

Tanya Steer encourages everyone to explore this magical destination, emphasizing the importance of tourism to the Moroccan people. As travelers flock to the region, they will not only enjoy the stunning landscapes and luxurious accommodations of Kasbah Tamadot but also contribute to the revival of the local economy.
