Joining a Virtual Classroom session is a breeze. Attendees simply receive a link to access a web-based Command Centre platform offering virtual hardware. The courses utilize Microsoft Teams, enabling seamless interaction between trainers and participants. This method eliminates the logistics challenges associated with shipping training kits, significantly reducing turnaround times between courses and enhancing the overall availability of training sessions.
Mitchell expressed her confidence in this cutting-edge platform, stating, “I believe that what we have created is as effective, if not more so, than traditional classroom training. The Virtual Classroom cloud-based platform allows our team to identify where attendees may be struggling or excelling, without disrupting the flow of the course.”
Initially rolled out in Australia and Papua New Guinea in 2023, the concept has proven to be a resounding success, with a notable 43% increase in the number of courses offered and over 300 technicians reaping the benefits. The Virtual Classroom is set to be utilized for all Access Technician and Access Engineer courses across Asia this year, further demonstrating Gallagher’s commitment to elevating training standards in the region.
